Day Five - Stavros to Pelekas

We cross back to the west coast on the north edge of the bowl. We look down from Ano Garouna at Agios Gordis, with mountains all round it, then climb the highest mountain in the middle of the island, 577m high Agii Deka, named from the 10 saints that came to Corfu – the other 40 stayed in Ag. Saranda in Albania.

The middle of the island is a collection of little changed villages with Sinarades with its folk museum particularly beautiful. Our day finishes at another gem, Pelekas, high on a hill.
